In skyscraper-crazy Dubai, tall isn't enough
Dubai has become a playpen for architects, where the deep pockets of oil-rich developers drive some of the most eccentric building projects in the world.
Be an artificial archipelago shaped like a map of the world or an underwater luxury hotel, an indoor ski slope, a sail-shaped hotel or a fake chain of islands in the form of a palm frond dotted with homes, Dubai never seems to amaze us.
High Rise Real Estate LLC in Dubai have unveiled their giant plan for a new tower to be built in Jumeirah Village South.
The Dh 175 Million Rotating Residence Tower features 72 residential units.
5 of the 15 stories will be able to rotate at the speed desired by the residents!
A story can rotate 360 degrees, every 3, 6,12 or 24 hours.
Each occupant would control the direction and speed by voice activated remote control.
The other floors would be programmed by the architect or building manager.
The most expensive & most luxurious unit in the tower, the single villa built at the peak of the tower has its own car lift and three parking spaces.
The residence has already a bid for Dh25 Million!
